Samsung Reveals Another Foldable Phone Design After being in the shadows of Oppo, Huawei, Vivo and other Chinese brands, Samsung is making a statement in the industry that it can innovate, and the Samsung Galaxy Fold is an example for that. Not only Samsung managed to bring the world’s first foldable phone to the masses, it even managed to impress the audience with the device, something no one expected. Samsung has now teased another foldable phone design which is entirely different from the Galaxy Fold’s design. The teaser video posted by Samsung shows a smartphone unfolded vertically, which becomes a full-screen smartphone with a punch-hole cutout for the selfie camera. Having said that, Samsung did not display any prototype of the product and it’s just a small teaser video showing what the company is actually working on. To recall, the Galaxy Fold was first showcased at the CES 2019 tech show and the actual launch happened a few weeks later alongside the Galaxy S10 series. The form factor of this new foldable handset from Samsung seems to be alright. The Galaxy Fold becomes a table when unfolded with a massive screen of 7.3-inches. When folded, it becomes a compact phone with a 4.6-inch display. The upcoming foldable phone from Samsung may feature a hinge at the centre of the display to help the handset fold vertically. There may not be a second screen on this device from Samsung like the Galaxy Fold. So in simple terms, Samsung is looking to redefine the flip phones with an all-screen design. Samsung W20 5G Could Be the Upcoming Foldable Phone Right after the launch of Samsung Galaxy Fold, the company dealt a huge blow as several international media houses reported display issues. Samsung recalled the product and stated that it would come up with a refined version of the Galaxy Fold and it did come out in September 2019. In fact, the Galaxy Fold reached the Indian market as well. After the global launch, Samsung showed its intentions towards developing more foldable phones as there’s a significant consumer interest towards the new tech. Very recently, a Chinese carrier leaked an image of an unknown Samsung phone called Samsung W20 5G which resembles the design of the foldable phone showed by Samsung today. Right now, we don’t have any information regarding the Samsung W20 5G, but it will be part of Samsung’s high-end Flip series of phones in China. The W20 will also come in a 5G variant and probably top-notch hardware available by then. In addition, Samsung may also launch a successor to the Galaxy Fold called Galaxy Fold 2 sometime next year.
