Motorola Razr: Design, Specifications and Features Detailed The Motorola Razr is a unique take from the Lenovo-owned company on foldable phones. Similar to the good-old Razr flip phones, the 2019 Motorola Razr also has a clamshell or flip phone design. The primary highlight of the phone is the 6.2-inch plastic OLED screen which offers an aspect ratio of 21:9. This is not the first Motorola phone to come with 21:9 aspect ratio screen and this primary display also has a notch on top. And yes, the phone folds vertically like the same tech which Samsung showcased a few days ago. As for the hardware specs, the Motorola Razr is powered by the Qualcomm Snapdragon 710 chipset with 6GB of RAM and 128GB of onboard storage. There’s a 16MP front-facing camera with Night vision mode and a 5MP internal camera. The handset runs Android 9 Pie out of the box and it supports eSIM cards only. The fingerprint scanner is located at the bottom and it’s not an in-display scanner. Motorola has tweaked the software to make full use of the vertically folding screen. For example, when a call arrives on the folded Razr and once you unfold the device, the call will be automatically picked up, making it hassle-free for the users. The smaller quick view screen displays the caller information as well. Motorola Razr: Pricing and Availability Details Motorola said the Razr would be available for purchase in January this year. In the United States, the preorders for the handset will begin at the end of December. As noted, Motorola is bringing the Razr to the Indian market as well, but don’t expect it to be available anytime sooner than the US market. As for the pricing, the Motorola Razr is priced at $1499 in the United States, which comes to Rs 1,05,988. The Indian pricing of the Razr will surely be on the higher side compared to the US pricing. For the asking price, the mid-range specs are not enough from the Lenovo-owned company. Other foldable phones from Samsung and Huawei pack high-end specs, but the specs choice from Motorola is not up to the mark. Foldable phones are going to be the next biggest thing in the smartphone industry. Already, we have seen phones like the Samsung Galaxy Fold and Huawei Mate X foldable phones with the former already available for purchase in various countries. The Galaxy Fold impressed everyone with its form factor and performance, but it will be interesting to see how the audience react to Motorola Razr.
