Honor 9X Launch Set for July 23: What We Know So Far? It has been close to one year since the launch of Honor 8X and surely its time for the Honor 9X. The Honor 6X and 7X smartphones were successful for the brand in India, but the Honor 8X did not make a major impact since the competition offered better smartphones in the similar price. However, Honor wants to change that with the Honor 9X as the company is preparing a different mid-range smartphone altogether, at least going by this render. Aforesaid, the Honor 9X will sport a pop-up selfie camera which we haven’t seen in any mid-range smartphone till date. Also, there will be an in-display fingerprint scanner and dual rear cameras on the Honor 9X. The launch date of Honor 9X in China is set for July 23 and it might soon reach the Indian market soon after. Right now, Honor India did not reveal any date for the launch of the Honor 9X in India. Usually, Honor launches X series of phones globally right after the China launch and brings them to the Indian market later. As for the hardware specs, the Honor 9X will be powered by Kirin 810 chipset that was announced a couple of weeks ago. It will be the first Honor smartphone to arrive with the said chipset. Rumours also suggest that there will be a Pro or Max variant for the Honor 9X similar to the Honor 8X. Evan Blass shared the picture of the handset and stated it as the Honor 9X, and not, Honor 9X Pro or Honor 9X Max. Honor 9X Pro Likely to Offer Quad Rear Cameras If rumours are anything to go by, the Honor 9X Pro will ship with quad cameras on the back. Yes, you heard it right. Other specs of the Honor 9X Pro include 6.5-6.7-inch screen, 20W fast charging, 4000mAh battery, 25MP front-facing camera, 3D glass design, 48MP primary Sony sensor on the back, 8MP wide-angle rear lens and 2MP macro and depth sensors completing the quad camera setup. Last year, Honor 8X arrived a max variant called Honor 8X Max, but this year, things seem to be going the Pro way. The specs of Honor 9X Pro were revealed by tipster RODENT950 on Twitter.
